Godin XTSA Trans Black

I will Be Back!
Full StarFull StarFull StarFull StarFull Star
Received a Godin XTSA today which was ordered on Thursday. The Godin is beautiful guitar and plays like a dream. I am new to the world of Midi and Synth guitar but the XTSA has it all for those wanting to dip their toe in this field. I read some mixed reviews in various guitar forums about tracking issues that some users say they have experienced but this guitar does what it says on the box. Already eyeing up a Godin Synth access nylon. (Maybe next Christmas).

For years I have been a Fender and Gibson man although I once owned a Gordon Smith and a Yamaha SG 2000. My eyes have been opened.

Thanks for the excellent service. I will be back.

Godin Montreal Premier

Godin Montreal Premiere natural. Wow....
Full StarFull StarFull StarFull StarFull Star
I visited Richard's shop for advice on selling my Fender Telecaster with view to buying a slimline semi acoustic along the lines of a Gibson ES 335 or a midtown etc. Richard gave me good advice on my Fender and let me try out the Godin Montreal and a 5th Avenue he had in his showroom. I already posses a Godin Summit and know the quality of their guitars so when I started playing the Montreal I instantly fell in love with the tone and playability, however it was the same sunburst finish as my Summit. I also wanted my next guitar to have a Bigsby tailstock. According to the Godin web page they only make one colour with the Bigsby, a translucent red. I didn't want a red guitar. So I decided that if Richard could get me a Montreal in a natural finish I would forgo the Bigsby. I left the showroom to continue my day shopping with my wife when half an hour later Richard left me a message on my phone to tell me that Godin only had one Montreal in a natural finish and guess what it has a Bigsby tailstock fitted...... We struck a deal where Richard took my Telecaster in part exchange and Two weeks later I have this gorgeous guitar. I cannot praise the quality of the Godin enough, the tone is ideal for playing blues, rock, and even jazz style guitar. As for Richard's Guitars? Well he must be doing something right because this is the fourth guitar I have purchased from him. Thanks Richard

Godin ACS Slim

Enthusiasm, professionalism and more enthusiasm!
Full StarFull StarFull StarFull StarFull Star
The single biggest difference about buying a guitar from Richard compared to one of the big-brand stores is this: his enthuiasm. Because he has a genuine love for guitars he stocks some great models that you just can't get elsewhere (easily) - in my case a Godin ACS. He is available to chat online and it quickly becomes clear that he knows his stuff and he was still replying to my e-mails way after office hours. When I placed my order he took the time to tell me he could actually SAVE me some money with a second-hand (immaculate) alternative if I prefered. When my guitar arrived it had been packed with real care that only someone with a love for guitars would bother to do.

From beginning to end this was a great experience. I'll be back when I want my next guitar!

Received this from Richard after a bit of a communications blip (hence 4 stars). Having played a red XTSA for many years I expected this to be more of the same. Really surprised and impressed on opening the case: it looks gorgeous, it seems slightly lighter and smaller than the old one (a good thing cos they are heavy) and perfectly set up thanks to Richard. My main thing is intonation and it was spot on - thanks so much! Plugging it in and playing; the sound as about the same as the old one; but the neck is well improved, sleeker, slightly thinner and a joy to play. I am not kidding when I compare this XTSA favourably to my PRS Studio, it is that good!

G&L Tribute Legacy Left Handed

Full StarFull StarFull StarFull StarFull Star
I recently purchased a G&L tribute legacy from Richard's guitars taking a huge leap of trust in parting with my Fender Strat. With Richard's help I have made a good decision. The guitar was set up well and is a joy to play. Thank you.

I waited and waited. I read review after review. I don't live in the UK and wanted to be sure that the guitar I bought was exactly the one I wanted. So, home for Xmas and a trip to lovely Stratford, to treat myself to a Faith Naked Neptune. I spent HOURS in the shop, and must have played a dozen guitars a few times each. Huge thanks to Richard for the expert and friendly advice delivered with much enthusiasm and no pressure at all - a perfect salesman.
The guitar is amazing. It feels wonderfully balanced on the leg, the arm falls perfectly and comfortably to where it should (not so with my previous acoustic). It sounds amazing - notes ring and last, chords sing out but without that 'too loud' effect of some dreads. It sounds way better than similarly priced guitars I've tried; after Richard's set-up it plays better too - lovely action, easy neck, the no-frills finish feels great and leaves the guitar with a beautiful clean look to it. To repeat, this guitar plays really well. I can't imagine finding anything better for the price. Friends who have played it confirm it sounds and plays better than their own more expensive 'big brand' models. It caused a stir. See it, play it, want it....get it from Richard. Enough said.
