Godin Montreal Premiere natural. Wow....
I visited Richard's shop for advice on selling my Fender Telecaster with view to buying a slimline semi acoustic along the lines of a Gibson ES 335 or a midtown etc. Richard gave me good advice on my Fender and let me try out the Godin Montreal and a 5th Avenue he had in his showroom. I already posses a Godin Summit and know the quality of their guitars so when I started playing the Montreal I instantly fell in love with the tone and playability, however it was the same sunburst finish as my Summit. I also wanted my next guitar to have a Bigsby tailstock. According to the Godin web page they only make one colour with the Bigsby, a translucent red. I didn't want a red guitar. So I decided that if Richard could get me a Montreal in a natural finish I would forgo the Bigsby. I left the showroom to continue my day shopping with my wife when half an hour later Richard left me a message on my phone to tell me that Godin only had one Montreal in a natural finish and guess what it has a Bigsby tailstock fitted...... We struck a deal where Richard took my Telecaster in part exchange and Two weeks later I have this gorgeous guitar. I cannot praise the quality of the Godin enough, the tone is ideal for playing blues, rock, and even jazz style guitar. As for Richard's Guitars? Well he must be doing something right because this is the fourth guitar I have purchased from him. Thanks Richard
