SFX-M electro acoustic creates the perfect blend for singer songwriter
The Brit and Ivor Novello award-nominated singer, Nerina Pallot, has become a Cort endorser and has been out on her recent UK tour using a Cort SFX Custom-M electro acoustic.
Pallot is a multi-instrumentalist and producer and has been touring to promote her latest album, The Graduate, which contains the single, Late Starter, both of which are performing well in the charts.
The single cutaway SFX-M is part of the Cort Custom series of acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars and Pallot’s model features a solid European spruce sound board, solid mahogany back and sides, single piece mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard with brass position markers, scooped ebony bridge, flamed maple body bindings, multiple abalone inlaid rosette and gold plated, black buttoned Grover tuners.
Fishman’s Prefix premium blend system is the choice for the electronics, featuring the company’s Acoustic Matrix under-saddle pickup and miniature gooseneck microphone to both capture and mix the natural ambience and sound chamber resonance.
"I'm using my Cort electro-acoustic SX Custom M, both live and in the studio," said Pallot. "It's a delight to perform with, the tone is warm and mellow, with beautiful highs. The ability to mix the piezo pickup and soundhole microphone allows me to create the
perfect blend with my voice – and my sound engineer also loves it."
