Tarquin Bolton
Tarquin Bolton - UK Luthier-built custom acoustic guitar (used)
Tarquin Bolton is a well respected luthier based in the north of England - known for building a wide variety of instruments including guitars that are truly magnificent for fingerstyle.
This particular guitar is a unique large auditorium size guitar with beautifully aged spruce top and rosewood back and sides built in 1988. The voicing of this guitar truly is wonderful and it has a magnificent balance combined with a resonance and sustain that will suit so many playing styles. As mentioned though - it's more of a fingerstyle guitar - it has a 47mm nut and a depth of tone that will work beautifully for folk music, particularly open tunings, if you want that piano like width and texture of Rosewood. In standard tuning it still offers this in spades too, so if you're a country picker or a strummer just wanting something sounding larger than life it'll do that too!
It also has a passive Fishman pickup fitted and a Hiscox hard case.
The price on this is mad considering the quality level of the guitar that this is at but it's priced for a quick turnaround due to showroom space!
