The proven combination of mahogany body with a beautifully flamed, 2.5 cm thick solid maple top and a glued mahogany neck with a long neck foot give the Expert Flame - Flamed Top an incredibly rich and cultured tone with sheer sustain.

Together with the handcrafted Japanese pickups and the high quality hardware, the Expert Flame - Flamed Top is certainly one of the best on the market for single-cut guitars.

Special FGN features

The FGTP FJTP bridge made of brass can be used as a classic tailpiece with string guide from the rear, as well as a string-through-body style. Especially with Droptunings you get more string tension on the bridge and the body resonances are amplified. The best way to hear the difference is to hear the guitar played dry and you will immediately feel the significant vibration behavior.

The AlNiCo2 Humkbuckers developed by FGN are hand-wound by very experienced Japanese pickup farmers. The sound is very close to the original vintage PAF sound and delivers a very balanced sound with fast response and plenty of sustain.

The softly rounded and tapered neck foot helps to play effortlessly even in the highest altitudes.

Many players find a lacquered back of the neck a hindrance to smooth play, and the throat is increasingly dull in sweaty hands. Therefore, FGN has developed a special satin finish for the back of the neck, which can be extremely smooth and fluid play.

FGN has completely revised and optimized the neck-body connection for all models with a glued neck. The extended and very precise connection significantly improves the vibration characteristics.
