I didn't actually buy this guitar but am being asked to review it...

Hi

As the phone number you provided on your order was incomplete we were unable to call you but have just sent you this email and hope you feel my reply is fair.

Hi Christopher,

I have just received your 1 star review. I just want to give you some background.

You placed the order on the 23rd of Christmas when we were closed for our Xmas holiday. With Covid and Brexit looming our business had been and remains under the most incredible strain.

The website clearly states to check stock. I categorically deny it stated it was in stock - hence the check stock button and notification above the buy button explaining we will contact you regarding availability.

Since you placed the order our website has been further developed to notify you even more clearly in advance but at the time you ordered the only way to be sure an item was in stock was to check in advance. No money was taken when you placed the order and its definitely did not confirm stock was available.

We re-opened on January 4th. As you can imagine - hundreds of emails and well over 100 orders to process. We are a small but incredibly hard working team and I couldnt be more proud of the service we offer - but you chose to place your order possibly at the worst date of the entire year in terms of giving you feedback and I am sure at the time you must have been aware of this?

Naturally on our return we were inundated with phone calls and people chasing orders.

We managed to contact you within one week of re-opening which may seem slow but the reality is explained above. I apologize for the inconvenience however understandable that delay would be in those circumstances.

You review makes no mention of Jons extremely apologetic and polite email explaining about the stock or his offer to reduce the price of the guitar further for you. This resulted in a significant (massive) discount on the recommended retail price as we sell these guitars extremely competitively as we live in a 'box shifters' world.

To add insult to injury you question whether the guitar even got setup because you needed to adjust the action? Every single aspect of the guitar was dealt with hence why it only required a small adjustment with an allen key to get it perfect for you. I presume it may have moved slightly in transit as every guitar is meticulously set up to the specification requested - hence why we receive many reviews DAILY on the excellence of the teams service and the playability of the guitars.

I know I am defensive - I know its my business and shouldn't expect favors from the public who dont know the efforts we make for them but a true reflection of events I feel is the least we deserve and the 1 star is frankly insulting.

I will do anything for anyone - as will my team - so if there is any way we can help in the future and demonstrate to you that we are not the business you have portrayed - I would be grateful for the opportunity to do so.

By the way - the phone number you supplied us doesnt work - one digit missing hence not being able to contact you in person.
