The Dowina Padauk GAC is another acoustic guitar that leaves me beyond words. You cannot "just" talk about the specification of the guitar because this guitar goes so far beyond the sum of its parts. Its a master class in "attention to detail" and "artistry". Every natural color flowing into the next - like a work of art. Everything has been thought through to ensure you not only have a guitar that has tone I can only TRY and explain but visuals that are second to none in any boutique brand I have ever sold.
This guitar goes so far beyond any Lowden I have ever sold at 3 times the price.
Tonally you have the dolomite spruce which is bright and clear combined with the strongest presence of padauk. The Padauk model has what I would call an incredibly strong presence - full toned, big bodied but INCREDIBLY balanced.
Its not a rosewood tone with thundering bottom end bright tops with not so much middle - It just seems strong throughout the register.
As I say its very hard to describe and I believe quite a unique and exciting tone that I believe any player would have a "wow!" moment with!!
To think all this including a hardcase is just £1500 is beyond belief - but its true!

Dowina guitars have fast become a great love of mine. After receiving my first email from Stan - the man behind Dowina guitars - I knew this was going to be exciting! His passion for his craft and desire to share this with me demonstrated this was a man who I was going to get on with!
Dowina guitars are hand made in Slovakia. An incredible back story and proof that the greatest things are rarely easy to find. Who has heard of Dowina? I hadn't!
Yet - From £699 you can buy the most extraordinary hand made acoustic which sounds wonderful, plays beautifully and has all the trademarks of a £3000 Lowden for a quarter of the price? Can this be for real?
