The Godin 5th Avenue Uptown in Trans Cream takes a vintage-inspired hollow body design and equips it with Seymour Duncan humbuckers and a stunning trans-cream finish. These additions add a modern touch to the traditional hollowbody and make the 5th Avenue able to cover many different genres including rock, blues, jazz, country, soul, and more.
The 5th Avenue is constructed from a Canadian Wild Cherry body matched to a silver leaf maple neck. The wild cherry body provides a focussed tone with great snap and resonance, while the maple neck assists with resonance and sustain. The neck is mounted with an ebony fingerboard; this handles low-end articulation very well meaning you'll have a highly responsive guitar.
The hollow body design adds a bright and open tonality which enhances the resonance and sustain. The hollow body reduces weight and will feel more 'alive' in your hands, responding to every nuance of your playing.
The Seymour Duncan humbuckers add a modern edge to this classic-looking guitar. They give a little more 'bite' and can help create some overdriven tones with a little more edge than traditional hollow bodied guitars. These pickups make the most of the open tonality from the hollow body and make this guitar adaptable to a wide range of genres - especially when you're playing those edge-of-clean tones that start to overdrive the more you dig in.
A Bigsby tremolo adds its distinct outline to this guitar and complements the classy aesthetic. It gives the ability to alter string pitches, either individually or on full chords. This can add an expressive edge to your playing, where chords can be altered with a subtle vibrato effect.
This is a limited edition finish that gives this guitar a classy-aesthetic and will really stand out on stage. The guitar comes with a quality TRIC guitar case which is lightweight yet highly protective.
