" The Heritage 1 is a replica of the guitar that literally started my love affair with Gordon Smith guitars over 2 decades ago..."

The story goes like this...

I had just opened up my shop.  22 years old!  With 6 guitars on the wall paid for by an inheritance from lovely Grandfather.

Well... in comes in a chap who wants to buy one of my 6 guitars - but he wants to part exchange his guitar.  This was my first ever experience of a "part x"!!!

In his hands was this solid looking guitar - a simple affair with one pickup.  Ooohh  brass nut - looks nice!  Ahha coil tap - cool.  Plugged it in and it sounded AMAZING!  Gordon Smith?  Never heard of ...

In those days the internet was merely a babe in nappies - to access it you would have to log on via DOS (remember?) then you could connect with a very slow modem but there was little to find online.

Research was done through magazines and word of mouth but I did manage to find information on this Gordon Smith brand and was gobsmacked to find it was made in a small workshop in Partington.

I loved the guitar SO much - and it seemed special to me being my first part x - I decided to give it to my father who has kept it to this day.

The guitar was called a Gypsy 1 and  the Gordon Smith ream have faithfully recreated the specification of my dads actual guitar!

Specification includes:

Thick 1 piece mahogany body

Vintage Tobacco Burst

One piece neck and headstock

1 coil tapped humbucker - wound of course on the same spindle that the original GS pickups were made from.

Hardcase Included.

This really is a true modern classic sympathetic to the Heritage that is Gordon Smith
