Simply, these are two of the very best acoustic guitars you can buy at this price point – with looks, tone and feel to match guitars costing twice as much.

.... and a final conclusion....

Compromises must have been made somewhere along the line with these guitars but it’s not immediately obvious exactly where. Look, the case isn’t as posh as the TKL number you’ll get with a USA-made guitar and the tuners are Schaller Grand Tune rather than Waverleys, but aside from that there is very little to separate these instruments from those leaving the Bourgeois factory in Lewiston – except the fact that they’re about half the price.

I very rarely award perfect scores, and in order for an instrument (or instruments in this case) to achieve this it has to be the absolute top contender in a particular price point. The fact that these guitars currently come in under the tricky £3,000 bar is almost as impressive as the guitars themselves.

So THANK YOU to Guitar.com whose review - along with Guitarist magazine - that my personal recommendations are indeed from the heart and I would like to believe after 28 years of research worthy of noting - even when there are brands or models that havent been reviewed by these guys!! :)

Teaching an old dog(drummer) new tricks.

I’m a seasoned drummer who has messed about on acoustic guitar for many years, partially because it’s easier to cart about than a drum kit but I also hate tapping away on a practice mat. I thought I might add an electric to my toys and approached Richard’s team to get some advice. They talked me through the options and let me loose with various models and makes including the Cort M600. It played buitifully even though it was straight out of the factory. Richard’s team checked it over and set it up fully and once Santa had done his thing I got to play it again. I couldn’t be more pleased, it looks great, feels great and sounds great with enough variation in tone to keep me busy. It may have taken me a while before I bought one but I can’t imagine wanting to change it. Thanks guys. Hmmm, but … just how many guitars does a drummer need?

Great service as a new beginner choosing a guitar, they selected a range of guitars to try at my leisure not time constraints no pressure they were available to help me choose. I bought a LAG parlour guitar exactly what I wanted.

We were having a few days away in Stratford upon Avon so booked to visit Richard’s guitars. Easy to arrange and fabulous service from start to finish. So Lynn played with some selected guitars and while we did that we had her fender set up correctly as it was only a few months old but Lynn felt it wasn’t right and my god the difference is unbelievable. Where it was going out of tune constantly and had buzz fret It’s brilliant now. While there after trying different guitars we bought a Lag which was again professionally set up and sent to us a week later. Again brilliant service
