The guitar can be used as a bluetooth speaker - even when not playing, so basically a super cool speaker system for your iphone. There is a built in looper function which is incredibly useful for anyone who wants to be creative and an important tool for improving your timing too.

In principal its the same hardware yes. However, the quality of the sound and the impact of its function is very much based around bracings and build of the guitar itself - along with the time and focus on prepping the guitar to get the most out of the hardaware. Any guitar can be fitted with a Hyvibe unit but LAG guitars are made specifically to maximise the value you get from the Hyvibe function so it is important to bare this in mind when looking at an alternative / cheaper option. For example, a 3/4 size guitar, by its nature, has less volume and resonance to drive the hyvibe

The primary difference is the fantastic interface which is far more intuitive than the original making the effects and looper far easier to use.
