I had high hopes for this guitar... I'd tried a Blaggard at Richard's whilst testing some acoustics and ended up deciding to get that instead. It's fair to say it was a long, long wait, but like all good things... It's already become the best playing guitar in my collection - lightweight, so comfortable to play, stonking pickups. I LOVE everything about it - so much so that I've just ordered a second one in antique cherry red (with all the Blaggard trimmings). Plays and feels like a F**der Custom but for 1/2 the cost. No brainer.

Every guitar sold at Richards Guitars is setup to perfection and included FREE of charge but we also provide a service for anyone within driving distance who wants to maximise the performance of their guitar who hasn't bought the guitar from us. Unlike most workshop environments, we try and keep costs to a standard price. We don't charge by the hour and there are no hidden costs.

Naturally every guitar has its own story depending on electric guitar, acoustic guitar or bass guitar but rest assured every point of adjustment necessary is made and every guitar will have fret ends, nut slots, high frets, intonation adjusted to ensure your guitar plays to the very best of its ability post setup.

My new guitar was set-up for me & it sounded great; but then it sounded great when I tried it out before buying.
However, as part of the deal, I also had my existing guitar set-up for half price. This sounded pretty good to me to begin with, but it was definitely improved once the work was done.
In summary, I couldn't be more pleased with the service.

I upgraded my acoustic and at the same time had my two existing guitars serviced. When you buy a new guitar, the value of the pro set up can be overlooked because if you bought online like I did, you never see the pre condition. Having my existing guitars set up changes that. Beyond the 6th fret buzzed, my PRS also didn't play as well as I'd like. The acoustic now sounds nearly as good as the upgraded guitar. And the PRS is way more enjoyable to play. Great job on both.

The set up on my new guitar and and my Yamaha TA was excellent. They both play so easily now. I have just one string that catches when tuning on the bridge but I am confident this will be sorted on my free 6 month set up.
