Have had the guitar now for about a week and as a beginner I know I have made the rights choice. I made a long journey to Richards Guitars because they were the only guitar store that provided what I needed.

That was being able to relax in a room where no other customers were there to disturb me and because I was a beginner it was great to be able to stumble through a few chords and listen to lots of guitars. Jon and Jake looked after me and Jake would pop in every so often just to see if I needed any help. I took advantage of his playing to narrow down which wood combination sounded right for me and the CM model was just right.

I can't thank the staff enough for their customer service and advice and if I get to the stage where I need another guitar I will certainly be visiting again no matter what the distance is.

I bought the guitar via the Internet. I know that's not the recommended way to do things but Lâg guitars have a good reputation, the model I bought sounded good on videos I'd seen and the free setup by Richards Guitars was far too tempting. I ordered it on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday of the following week. It plays beautifully. The tone is nice and rich, it has plenty of sustain and chimes like the church bells. It's made of sustainable wood, and built in an environmentally-friendly way.

Richards Guitars provided excellent service: their communication was faultless. I was asked how I would like the guitar to be set up prior to the work being carried out. It was despatched by DX who delivered it professionally and it arrived right in the centre of the delivery time slot.

I've been very impressed with every aspect of this purchase. Richards Guitars even planted a tree for me and removed a bottle from the ocean! They'd get 6 stars if I could award them. I'm a very happy customer.

This is my first accoustic guitar, after 3 years of playing classical spanish, and its taking a while to get used to playing in a different position. The sound from this guitar is wonderful the feel is different as it is bigger. I am really enjoying playing ans learning a new guitar. If you are thinking of buying a second guitar I would recommend this one.

I was lucky enough to receive this guitar as a gift from my girlfriend, it's a beautiful instrument, very comfortable, it feels and sounds amazing, it oozes quality and was perfectly set up by Richard's Guitars. I firmly believe guitars at this price point should include a gig bag, but that is a manufacturer issue. Highly recommended.

This is the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen or played and it's an absolute joy to play. The quality of the build and components is astonishing, and the attention to detail is something else. There is nothing out of place on this guitar.

The pick-up combination and selector switches offer a huge range of tones. To be honest this is all a bit overwhelming at the moment (2 weeks in) but I've settled on a lovely tone that will do me for now. I'm especially impressed with the single coil cleans. They're clear and ringing but at the same time have a warmth to them.

There are a bunch of reviews on-line about Valiant guitars and they're pretty much all gushing in their praise. They are absolutely right in my view.

My problem now is that I can't un-see what I've seen. This is the new standard. I'm already thinking how I can get enough money together to buy a Valiant Smith. Maybe I should trade all my other guitars!

Absolutely fantastic customer service from Richard’s Guitars! Contacted them to enquire about this used Jazzmaster and they could not have been more helpful with information and set up requests. Delivery was prompt, even over the Christmas period, and when I did get my hands on it, they had done an excellent job setting it up. Looks amazing and plays beautifully. Wonderful guitar, looks and sound beautiful. The Hyvib 2 takes it to a whole other level. Cannot recommend this guitar enough, I’ve had several other guitars including Gibson and Cole Clark this Lag is more enjoyable to play and hear than the others. Having already purchased a Furch Blue GC-CM from Richards a couple of years ago, I wanted a smaller guitar with a cedar top and a different wood for the back and sides. I had no doubt that Furch made fine guitars but the Yellow series is a real step up in class from the Blue, which was already a great standard. For a smaller sized body this guitar has a lot of presence with a beautiful balanced, focussed sound. The cedar gives great warmth while the rosewood provides precision and clarity. I've had a lot of compliments about the sound of this guitar. In answer to queries about where I got it I can do nothing else but recommend the whole buying experience from Richard's Guitars. Jon and Jake are always so helpful and are there to help you make the right decision without being salesy or pushy. I've bought three more guitars from Richard's, but those are for different reviews (all very good).

I’m a seasoned drummer who has messed about on acoustic guitar for many years, partially because it’s easier to cart about than a drum kit but I also hate tapping away on a practice mat. I thought I might add an electric to my toys and approached Richard’s team to get some advice. They talked me through the options and let me loose with various models and makes including the Cort M600. It played buitifully even though it was straight out of the factory. Richard’s team checked it over and set it up fully and once Santa had done his thing I got to play it again. I couldn’t be more pleased, it looks great, feels great and sounds great with enough variation in tone to keep me busy. It may have taken me a while before I bought one but I can’t imagine wanting to change it. Thanks guys. Hmmm, but … just how many guitars does a drummer need?

We were having a few days away in Stratford upon Avon so booked to visit Richard’s guitars. Easy to arrange and fabulous service from start to finish. So Lynn played with some selected guitars and while we did that we had her fender set up correctly as it was only a few months old but Lynn felt it wasn’t right and my god the difference is unbelievable. Where it was going out of tune constantly and had buzz fret It’s brilliant now. While there after trying different guitars we bought a Lag which was again professionally set up and sent to us a week later. Again brilliant service
