Got the guitar on Tuesday. Had a bit of learning to do with putting it together, that took a while. It was also my first guitar with locking tuners which took another few minutes. AS soon as I got it up and running, I haven’t put it down. I played a couple of these guitars when I visited a guitar shop in Budapest and while I was impressed, I was more impressed with the orchestral lefty Furch in that shop. This little Jane has all the qualities of that orchestral. I'm blown away by how rich and responsive it is. It also has a big sound and is super well balanced. I originally bought is as travel / campfire singalong guitar but I think I'll get a pick up in it and see how it sounds in the mix with. So well done to you folks at Richards. It's always a bit of a gamble buying online but I'm really glad I did.
This is a spectacular octave mandolin. It has a beautiful warm tone, and a wonderfully full sound, especially when playing chords. The pre-installed pick-up is great and it was ready for performance when it arrived. It's also a beautiful instrument, and looks great. I had really great customer service, and received emails about every stage of the journey, from purchase to delivery. The team at Richards also installed a strap button for me before shipping, which is great, because I can now stand and sing with my beautiful new instrument. I'll be enjoying it for years, and shopping at Richards again.
