This is my second Furch Blue GC Cm guitar purchased from Richard, this time the six string version to complement the twelve string model I purchased last year. Both have been fitted with the Fishman Matrix pickup by Richard, as I lead worship in our local church and need to plug my guitars into our church PA system.

I purchased this guitar online following a number of discussions with Jake, who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The guitar arrived a week later, pickup fitted and beautifully set up. My first play proved I had made the right choice. Superb detailed mid range and top end with a controlled yet balanced bass. I have been using this guitar in church over the past three weeks and just blown away with the sound quality of this guitar.

We visited Richard’s Guitars to buy a Furch acoustic for my Nephew’s 18th birthday. The experience was great. We were treated like VIP’s. Jake was very helpful and knowledgeable but never intrusive. All guitar shops should be like this!

The sound quality rivals instruments 4 times the cost, the construction is solid and hardware excellent, except perhaps the scratch board is a little chinzy. The action setup again excellent (thanks to Chris).
On a totally personal level I find the fingerboard a tad wide certainly the higher up the neck, but this is something that use will rectify.
A brilliant addition to my collection, and would be the last to be sold.

A quick testimonial - with thanks for all at RG for their help: If you are an American brand obsessed label snob, then Richards isn’t the store for you. But if you want excellent advice on guitars to give the sound you want, all with superb craftsmanship at surprisingly modest prices, given the quality, then do what I did and make the trip. A whole afternoon with guitars from a range of manufacturers in a variety of tonewoods, and the time to come to my own conclusion No “upselling”, no brand forcing. My internet research was nullified by the offerings from Arden, Dowina and Furch: I’m absolutely delighted with my Furch GcCM and the Baggs that was fitted for me. I wanted something with better upper fret access than my elderly Dread, and with a setup aimed at fingerpicking, I got just the feel and sound I was hoping for. My wife bought me a cheap acoustic guitar on our honeymoon. 25 years later for our silver wedding she bought me a Furch Gc CM guitar. Wow! This is a beautiful instrument. Everytime I pass it I have to give it a little strum just to hear the fantastic tone. I am delighted. The cedar sounds great. The quality is impeccable. What can I say, the best customer service experience purchasing my absolutely beautiful Furch acoustic.
Very prompt response to emails and great advice as I could go down to the store to try first. As such a particularly big thank you for all the help from Riki and Sophie but also to all the staff at Richards guitars you really all are second to none!

Lastly the guitar was setup to perfection and the LR Baggs pickup fitted beautifully. The action is perfect and I really couldn’t be any happier!

Point only docked, for the the understandable delay in communications, via email, my proffered method, due to the business of a small shop, with lots of demand.

Living just north of Glasgow it was highly impractical for me to visit the showroom and was slightly dubious about buying an instrument online and without actually playing it. However having read the reviews on customer service and watched Richard's rather carasmatic videos I decided to take the plunge.
I received my Furch Blue GCCM a couple of days ago, the guitar was packed very well (I was concerned about damage in transit). The instrument is flawless cosmetically and has been set up perfectly and plays like a dream.
I have no doubt at all that the quality checks and work that Richard's Guitars claim to put into every instrument prior to dispatch actually take place.
I had called the showroom hoping to speak with Richard and ask him to convey my heartfelt thanks to all his team, in his absence I left a message to that effect.
To summarise I am extremely satisfied with the level of service I have received, from my initial telephone enquiry with Jon through to taking ownership of my guitar I was kept informed of progress and have a guitar that I couldn't be happier with.
If there's a purpose to this review other than praising the wonderful playing Furch and the customer service, I would seek to reassure anyone considering buying online from Richard's to do so without the worry that can all too often accompany online purchases.

Bought a Furch blue guitar from Richards guitar Stratford, I'm once again a teenager in love as I continue my journey forwards with this great guitar.
I had a little wait as my order came at a time of great disruption, covid19, exiting the EU and lockdowns etc, but I must say Richards and his staff were excellent keeping me updated along the way. My guitar finally came to my door well packed and in very good condition now I try to play it every day as I have established a practice routine because I LOVE the set up and care taken getting my baby to me so if you're looking for a new guitar and you're a bit nervous of buying on line Go On you won't be disappointed, the service is first class. Looked online, made a call and drove up to play this perfect little guitar. Richard was super helpful. Other guitar options tried too just to make sure!
Pickup fitted and a week later the guitar was ready for me to bring home.
As it ages it’s looking and sounding even better.
