Keipro KJB5-Standard-R MIB Bass Guitar

Keipro KJB5-Standard-R

The KJB5-Standard-R is a versatile 5-string bass designed for players who want the classic character of a '60s Jazz Bass combined with the extended range and modern playability of a 5-string instrument. Built around a Roasted Poplar body, Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard, this bass delivers a clear, resonant and balanced tonal response with a familiar playing feel.

The Roasted Poplar body provides a stable and resonant foundation, offering a transparent and clear tonal character with plenty of definition. The KJB-C1 body contour provides excellent comfort while maintaining the classic Jazz Bass aesthetic, while the gloss finish and 3-ply vintage white pickguard complete its timeless appearance.

The Maple neck features a comfortable C Slim profile with a satin finish, while the Rosewood fingerboard has a 9.5" radius and 21 medium nickel frets for smooth and comfortable playing. Pearl fingerboard inlays and white side dots provide clear visual reference across the neck, while the 34" scale length gives the KJB5-Standard-R the familiar feel expected from a full-scale 5-string bass.

Equipped with YHL Neptune 5J76D-N and 5J76D-B Alnico single-coil pickups, the KJB5-Standard-R delivers the classic tonal character of a '60s Jazz Bass with a balanced, articulate and dynamic response. The traditional 2 Volume, 1 Tone passive circuit allows you to blend the neck and bridge pickups freely, making it easy to move between warm, full-bodied tones and sharper, more focused sounds.

The KMB5-1 zinc bridge with steel saddles provides a solid foundation for reliable string vibration transfer, helping to deliver clear note definition, strong sustain and consistent performance across all five strings. With its classic styling, straightforward passive electronics and comfortable playability, the KJB5-Standard-R is an excellent choice for players looking for a dependable and authentic Jazz Bass-inspired 5-string.
