Keipro KJBM5-Custom Act MBL Bass

Keipro KJBM5-Custom-M ACT

The KJBM5-Custom-M ACT is a versatile 5-string bass that combines classic styling with modern performance and refined craftsmanship. Built around an Alder body, Roasted Maple neck and Roasted Maple fingerboard, this bass delivers a balanced, resonant and articulate tone with plenty of punch and character.

The Alder body provides a well-balanced tonal foundation, offering a clear and resonant response that works beautifully across a wide range of musical styles. Its KJB-C1 contour provides a comfortable and familiar playing experience, while the gloss finish and 3-ply red tortoise shell pickguard give the bass a timeless appearance.

The Roasted Maple neck features a comfortable C Slim profile, paired with a Roasted Maple fingerboard with a 9.5" radius and 21 medium nickel frets for smooth and precise playability. Luminous side dots with brass rings provide excellent visibility on darker stages, while the 34" scale length offers the familiar feel expected from a full-scale 5-string bass. Pearl Shell fingerboard inlays and a gloss-finished headstock complete the premium look.

Equipped with YHL Neptune 5J85 FC-N and 5J85 FC-B Alnico pickups, the KJBM5-Custom-M ACT delivers a clear, articulate and punchy tonal response with excellent sensitivity to playing dynamics. The active/passive switching provides two distinct tonal modes, while the bass and treble controls offer further flexibility for shaping the instrument's sound.

The brass KMB5-2 bridge with stainless steel saddles provides a solid foundation for excellent string vibration transfer, helping to deliver strong sustain, precise note definition and a powerful low-end response. Combined with Gotoh GRL510C-12 tuning gears and its versatile electronics, the KJBM5-Custom-M ACT is an impressive 5-string bass designed for players who need dependable performance across a wide range of styles.
