Got the guitar on Tuesday. Had a bit of learning to do with putting it together, that took a while. It was also my first guitar with locking tuners which took another few minutes. AS soon as I got it up and running, I haven’t put it down. I played a couple of these guitars when I visited a guitar shop in Budapest and while I was impressed, I was more impressed with the orchestral lefty Furch in that shop. This little Jane has all the qualities of that orchestral. I'm blown away by how rich and responsive it is. It also has a big sound and is super well balanced. I originally bought is as travel / campfire singalong guitar but I think I'll get a pick up in it and see how it sounds in the mix with. So well done to you folks at Richards. It's always a bit of a gamble buying online but I'm really glad I did.

Guitar came in timely after final touches at their shop. Keep in mind there are applicable Taxes collected by carrier later on when buying in US. Guitar is in pristine conditions. So much quality materials and craftsmanship.

I recently bought a Furch LJ 11-SR from Richard Guitars, and both the instrument and the experience exceeded my expectations. Third guitar from Richards guitars, great service as always. The “little Jane” was just what I was looking for for summer hols and weekends away. Is everything you read or see on you tube. Love it, it even fits in the top box of my bike!! Maybe be life as a wondering minstrel is not that hard :-)

I have already bought two Furchs and a Dowina BV from Richards Guitars so I know just how great the service is. Having finally surrendered to the dreams of a lifetime and bought a camper van, I began to wonder how on earth I could fit one of my precious guitars into the limited space without undue risk of damage, especially with two 55kg dogs on board. I began to contemplate the ‘Little Jane’ option. Wow, am I glad I did. In short, I absolutely love her: if I could only keep one guitar it would be this one. The tone, playability, volume, ease of assembly and sheer ingenuity of design are incredible…and it fits into a small backpack. Unbelievable. It doesnt even feel like a small parlour guitar but fits me like my larger guitars. It is beautifully made, like all Furchs, and I hope is just as durable. Special mention, again, to Jon who guided me through the whole order process …for the third time!…and sorted out a few special requirements I had. Set up is just right for my predominantly fingerstyle playing. So, I am delighted with my purchase and the service from Richards Guitars. I am looking forward to our future travels in the new camper even more now.

This is the second guitar I have bought from RG, a spend of over £6k. The first came dirty. Although it was supposed to be serviced before being sent, I had to strip the strings off and give the guitar a good clean. I appreciate the guitar was a demo model, but didn't expect the guitar to be that gunky. The Furch guitar had a finish problem, the finish on the underside of the body was "rough", it felt like it hadn't been finish sanded (if that is what Furch do). I eventually got hold of RG to inform them of the problem and the said I could send it back for a replacement. I said it wasn't that bad, and I had a local luthier who could finish it for me if they would pay for the work. "I'll discuss it with someone and get back to you", still waiting.
Maybe they are under staffed, or too busy to care? Shame.

I visited Richard's Guitars in September, and buying was not remotely on my mind. I had accompanied a left handed friend (Jeremy) who was attracted by the large stock of lefties that they maintain, but he knew that not all the guitars he wanted to try were lefties, and needed someone to play the right hand versions to establish exactly what he wanted.

You have to make an appointment to try the guitars, and are given a nice long time slot, which is just as well because their stock of quality instruments is extensive. The display room is amazing. We were left alone to try as many as we wanted.

At one point, Jeremy put what I took to be a parlour guitar into my hands, and, although it didn't turn out to be what he wanted, it just felt at home in my hands. But I wasn't intending to buy so I put it back.

Any road up, Jeremy eventually decided what he wanted and went to order it, leaving me in the room alone with this plethora of great instruments. I was drawn back to that litttle "parlour" and noticed a little silver catch at the dusty end of the neck. So I asked whether it was a travel guitar, and it was confirmed that that was just what it was.

The breakdown prcedure is incredibly clever, and the whole thing fits into a small backpack. Now, the only travel guitar I owned was just a scaled down guitar, and although it fits into a bag only a little larger than a uke, it was still pretty awkward to carry, and really doesn't sound all that great, so the Little Jane, sounding and playing as brilliantly as it does made me immediately get my credit card out and buy it.

The whole experience at Richards Guitars was fantastic. I love the fact that the appointment system means that one can try the guitars without competing for space with other customers. Everybody there is welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable, and the buying process is no-nonsense and easy.

I have no hesitation in recommending Richards Guitars wholeheartedly. It's by far the best guitar buying experience I've ever had.

Ordered a furch little jane guitar, they got it in stock fast, set it up the way I like with low gage strings 10's. And all the staff was nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend,

The Little Jane is an absolute marvel. Forget the fact that it folds and is an amazing travel guitar, how the made this thing sound so big and full is just incredible. As a professional guitarist of 15 years, I totally reccomend this thing. Also Richards guitars were great, there was a delay because of the Calais situation, but they kept me up to dsylte the whole time and the setup was awesome

Wow, what a lovely guitar. Sounds and plays great. So much punch for a small guitar. Not sure how mush travelling I’m going to be doing with this guitar, but I can and it sounds great as a pick up and play instrument. Very pleased.

Beautiful, well made little guitar. Excellent communication and advice from R Guitars. Well packed and perfectly set up on arrival. Lovely to play and most importantly - SO easy to travel with. Easy to carry light back pack - small enough to fit in overhead flight lockers. Would thoroughly recommend if looking for a guitar to travel with.

Bought a Furch Little Jane from Richards Guitars as I was fed up of getting stung £50 each way to take my guitar on EasyJet/Ryanair/etc. Service from Richard was excellent and very personable and the guitar was beautifully set up when I got my hands on it. The guitar itself is superb. Excellent quality and a lovely tone from such a small bodied guitar. Doesn't sounds like a travel guitar - no compromise on sound. And its so comfortable its great for everyday use, not just travelling. I have assembly and dis-assembly literally down to seconds now. Its so easy. Took the guitar to Crete on a Thomson flight - they are the stingiest wrt cabin baggage allowance. No problem taking it on board. Sailed through security checks etc. Took it on the beach etc - no issues. Couldn't be happier with the little thing.
