While I was at Richard's guitars in May, dropping previous guitars I had purchased in for 2nd free services,this guitar kept catching my eye. From the minute I picked it up I knew It had to be mine.
Everything about it from the woods to the tones were just superb. It's as much pleasure looking at at as it is playing it. Chris got the set up perfectly to my requirements. Jake saw me through purchase easily, Jon too ,and sincere thanks to Richard for arranging the limited edition Malaysian blackwood body and sides,and flawless cedar top. Tone to die for.just a dream guitar .
Also for being the best guitar store I have ever entered. Service second to none. This is now my fourth purchase from Richard in 2 years. Returning in couple months for a Lag hivibe hopefully.

Fantastic looking and sounding guitar. This is a very dynamic guitar from gentle finger picking through to loud strumming. The unplugged sound is wonderful. The action is spot on and the looks are so wonderful

Was very fortunate to get a limited edition Furch red series on promotion. Great deal for a great guitar - but equally importantly the service in terms of making sure the guitar was set up how I wanted, great comms all the way through, and just plain dedication to quality and helpfulness from everyone in the Richards team was absolutely top notch.

Fantastic guitar and great customer service

This was a once in a lifetime purchase which is proving to be all that I had hoped. The team made me very welcome at the try-out session where I was able to try any of the fantastic guitars which lined the walls of the showroom. Fortunately, Jake was next door to answer my questions and make sure that I didn't become too 'boggled'. By the end of the afternoon I knew which guitar I liked best but wanted time to think about it. This was absolutely no problem as far as the team was concerned - they just asked me to let them know either way when I was ready which I was happy to do the next day.

It is now three three weeks since I bought my guitar and as I am becoming more familiar with it, I'm enjoying playing it more and more.

I'm looking forward to seeing the team again in six months for the first check and re-set.

Rang numerous times, no one answers, tried to purchase Furch Red Deluxe twice and not in stock but on the wedsiteand still waiting for notification of availability,

Setup was great to my preference, pick up is installed perfectly, and the guitar is flawless, 100% of what Im expecting in terms of the built and sound. The twin bevel are really comfy to play for a long time.

Packaging and the hard-shell case is great. I live in Asia and there are no issue sending the guitar over to me.

Will definitely come back for some other purchase in the near future.

Truly a great job by Richard’s Guitars. Always felt at ease throughout as all my queries were answered. Despite a last minute glitch with the delivery company I was always kept properly informed. As for the guitar?? A thing of beauty with a sound to match. Many thanks.

I have bought a Furch guitar red series from Richard guitar. Originally I was after yellow series but due to unavailability I was suggested to consider buying The red series Furch. After watching numerous you tube videos and reading a lot of reviews I made my mind and went for one. Before processing the whole transaction I was asked about the guitar set up - how I would like my guitar. Strings brand and gauge action etc. Fantastic. I was told when my guitar would go to workshop and when I could expect it to be delivered to me. Great communication from both guys ( Jake and Jon ) when dealing with my order. My guitar was delivered even earlier than expected ! I was so excited and eager to play it. What an instrument! Beautifully set up, perfect string action just awesome guitar. After some time of playing it I realised that I just don’t enjoy it for some reason. Nothing wrong with the guitar but I just did not like the sound of it. I tried and tried but I could find the “connection” between us. I decided to return this guitar. Again the service from Richard guitar team was second to none. They assured me it was ok to return it ( after all the fuss) and suggested different guitars to have a look at. Guitar was returned and refund issued - even the cost of delivery! If I ever wanted to buy guitar again and it is available at Richard guitars I would definitely chose them. Even if you pay more than with any rival stores and wait bit longer for delivery it is worth it. The service you receive is just that great. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I was looking for a feelgood guitar to compliment my existing acoustics, a Sigma parlour and my 30 year old Larrivee dreadnought. After much searching I decided on the Furch Red Deluxe. A couple of phone calls with Richard's Sales tech about playing and set up requirements and a week later my package arrived. Opening the Hiscox case (which itself screams quality) revealed the masterpiece I was hoping for. I've always been a sucker for bling on a guitar and this was just beautiful from the gloss finish of the Alpine Spruce, the rosette and purfling of Abalone and Koa, the Ziricote fingerboard, saddle and headstock and the Roman Numeral inlays. Then you turn it over and see the Rosewood back and sides....just one word "Stunning". Then having spent ages admiring it you remember you bought it to play. One simple strum of a G chord and Whoopee! This guitar sounds absolutely fantastic whatever style you want to play and is a real joy to spend hours with.
This guitar may be expensive but is worth every penny, Furch really do make quality instruments. I'm now considering a Furch 12 string.
A huge shout out goes to Richard and all his team for making this such a rewarding experience.

Guitar is awesome, everything I was expecting and more. This is the 3rd guitar I have purchased from Richard and the team, I can't speak highly enough about the service and support.

Service and guitar a+. Plays beautifully action exactly as requested. Wonderful sound even amplified. Only downside is reluctance to take out of case at open mic in case of bashes!

I am so pleased with my purchase of this superb guitar. A friend of mine has two Furch guitars and after playing them I decided I must have one. The quality of workmanship is second to none, it looks and feels great, and it’s sounds so sweet with massive sustain. The purchasing experience from initial contact through to guitar arrival was faultless. Hi Richard I am very happy with the guitar I got but unfortunately I can not do any sort of review as if you can remember when you first contacted me via phone about Furch guitars and I had my first experience in hearing someone actually playing one that’s I took the decision to have one maybe you have forgotten that I collect guitars but I can’t play them and the guitar I got is going to be my family hair loom hopefully it will past down from generation to generation and who knows some future family member may learn to play it ??.
As for me I am totally tone deaf can’t sing in tune I have tried to learn to play but can’t get my head around my right hand and left hand working as one ie changing chords and rhythm patterns in unison to sound right
Also Richard this will be end of me buying anymore guitars as I have had my ears bent from my partner she as given me the ultimatum no more guitars.

I’m based in Surrey, but made a trip (by appointment) to Stratford Upon Avon in order to try a few acoustic guitars in order to help me make the right purchase for me. I was particularly interested in comparing Furch and Dowina. Following some brief email communication beforehand, to enquire about what I was looking for, when I arrived, as was made very welcome
and left in peace to play a selection of guitars. When I wanted input or advice, the staff were helpful, knowledgeable and interested. The standout guitar for me was the Furch Red in terms of tone and playability. I returned home to mull over exactly which model and duly placed an order a few days later on one that was already in transit. Some helpful photos were sent through once it had arrived at RG and I was asked about any specific set up requirements. In summary, I had a great experience and have ended up with a beautiful looking and sounding guitar.

My experience with Richard's Guitars was completely faultless, I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a quality acoustic that isn't from one of the big name brands.

I really love the idea of booking a private appointment at the showroom. That gives you plenty of time to try all the guitars you want, ask questions, and figure things out in a completely stress-free (and pressure-free) environment.

In a normal music shop you will either be ignored for large periods of time whilst over-worked staff rush around or you will have someone standing over you trying to convince you to go for the most expensive thing you've looked at. Richard's Guitars is the exact opposite of that and I found the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. As a result I left the showroom completely happy that I made the right choice for me.

All the guitars I tried were beautiful, you can really tell that the inventory has been carefully selected and researched. I also feel that by going for lesser-known brands you can get some incredible value for money as well.

Having a free setup included in the price, along with 6 and 12 month check-ups is a huge bonus and meant that the guitar was absolutely perfect out of the box.

The setup was done and the guitar shipped out within a week. It arrived in perfect condition and I was well-informed throughout the process. I never met Richard himself but every member of his team did their jobs perfectly. The guitar I have purchased will likely meet my needs for many years to come but if I ever feel the need to get another I will be going straight back to these guys.

The Furch red is a very special guitar, it feels like it has always belonged on your knee,and the tone is more and more satisfying every time you play it.
There are not many stores in the UK where you can buy a Furch.. but you should choose Richards Guitars. The set up and service was excellent, with updates regularly available. Jon dealt with my purchase, with a nice chat along the way with other members of the team.
Jon is a man who loves music and loves guitars. His product knowledge is excellent and his enthusiasm is infectious.

Beautiful guitar perfectly set up by Richard's team. Was also very please to get some images in advance of delivery. Will be more than happy to use Richard's store for my next purchase.

Wasn't really looking for another guitar, as I already had a Dowina on order. Through a chance conversation with Rikki, he informed me that this beauty was available, and I was tempted due to wanting something quickly before the Dowina arrived. Not dissapointed, the Furch build quality and attention to detail is off the scale, and the tone is so complex, I swear I find a new sound every time I play it. I have an existing Ebony bodied Faith, which I absolutely love, and so far, even though I love the Furch, the tone of the Faith has the edge, but the Faith is well played in, so I would expect the Furch to more than hold it's own over time. Big thanks to Rikki and Jon for there patience and insight. The whole experience was just easy, which is what I want, and I also learnt a lot through the process. 100% will be back to Richards for my next purchase, hopefully sooner rather than later.
All in all, totally recommend Richards as a reliable and ethical partner.
