Martin 000-28vs 12 fret Parlour - well loved with some issues (used)

An interesting guitar to cross our paths that has been well loved and used by its previous owner.

To be as up front as possible - this is a bit rough and ready and it is showing that it's had a lot of use in its belt with dings here and there, wear and marking in the finish, relatively heavy fret wear and some cracks in the nitrocellulose (they're not wood-deep). There is also a very small amount of lift on the bridge but after keeping an eye on it we can't see that it is getting worse or changing and Chris is still able to set the guitar up to his optimal specs. It is priced to accommodate for this level of condition though given used examples of these tend to sell for a massive amount more than this!

Having said all that, it sounds fantastic, with the expected Martin warmth and a great amount of volume for such a compact body size. The top has aged to a beautiful golden colour so the spruce has rounded and sweetened the treble nicely giving an extremely well balanced tone despite it being considered a parlour style. 

There is very much still life within it and there is plenty of scope for Chris to make sure it's playing beautifully during our setup process so it's an excellent opportunity for anyone who truly wants a "Martin" to appease that dream without necessarily spending the frightening price tag that they come with these days.

I'd suggest booking in to come and give it a whirl (maybe compare it to some similar guitars in stock too!) if you want to get a full idea of how lovely it sounds in comparison to the condition.
