I had high hopes for this guitar... I'd tried a Blaggard at Richard's whilst testing some acoustics and ended up deciding to get that instead. It's fair to say it was a long, long wait, but like all good things... It's already become the best playing guitar in my collection - lightweight, so comfortable to play, stonking pickups. I LOVE everything about it - so much so that I've just ordered a second one in antique cherry red (with all the Blaggard trimmings). Plays and feels like a F**der Custom but for 1/2 the cost. No brainer.

Every G&L Fullerton is built in G&L’s historic USA factory in Fullerton, California — the very same place Leo Fender founded G&L in 1980. These are genuine American-made instruments, crafted with the same passion and innovation Leo poured into his final designs.
The ASAT Classic is Leo Fender’s final word on the classic single-cut design. While it shares the familiar look and feel, Leo’s own Magnetic Field Design™ pickups give it a broader tonal range — from crisp, articulate twang through to warm jazz cleans and gritty blues. On top of that, the boxed-steel bridge with brass saddles delivers both vintage vibe and modern intonation stability.
The Fullerton Deluxe models are USA-built with premium woods, hardware, and hand-finished details straight out of the G&L factory in California. The Tribute Series, by contrast, are more affordable imports designed to bring G&L tone and playability to a wider audience. Both are excellent in their own right, but the Fullerton Deluxe is the real deal if you want Leo’s final vision made exactly where he intended.
