As you can imagine, much of what we have available for our online sales is in storage and our premises are not large enough to house our stock on site.

Our showroom reflects Richards personal favorites and recommendations - as is the point of the showroom experience - to bring you a highly personalised and curated experience, for which we are reputed and very proud of.

Our appointment system enables us to priortise the right guitars for your visit and pull any guitars we dont have on site into the showroom.

Please do not be upset if you visit, unnannounced, and a guitar you have seen on the website is not hanging on the wall of the showroom. We are a very busy, workshop focused specialist and it is not possibe to be all things to all people. Our primary focus is of course our wonderful customers who value our unique approach and expect beautifully presented guitars that are relevent to their requirements - and that is always our focus - Not, the random passer by - please dont be offended!

Have had the guitar now for about a week and as a beginner I know I have made the rights choice. I made a long journey to Richards Guitars because they were the only guitar store that provided what I needed.

That was being able to relax in a room where no other customers were there to disturb me and because I was a beginner it was great to be able to stumble through a few chords and listen to lots of guitars. Jon and Jake looked after me and Jake would pop in every so often just to see if I needed any help. I took advantage of his playing to narrow down which wood combination sounded right for me and the CM model was just right.

I can't thank the staff enough for their customer service and advice and if I get to the stage where I need another guitar I will certainly be visiting again no matter what the distance is.

Internet Purchase

I bought the guitar via the Internet. I know that's not the recommended way to do things but Lâg guitars have a good reputation, the model I bought sounded good on videos I'd seen and the free setup by Richards Guitars was far too tempting. I ordered it on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday of the following week. It plays beautifully. The tone is nice and rich, it has plenty of sustain and chimes like the church bells. It's made of sustainable wood, and built in an environmentally-friendly way.

Richards Guitars provided excellent service: their communication was faultless. I was asked how I would like the guitar to be set up prior to the work being carried out. It was despatched by DX who delivered it professionally and it arrived right in the centre of the delivery time slot.

I've been very impressed with every aspect of this purchase. Richards Guitars even planted a tree for me and removed a bottle from the ocean! They'd get 6 stars if I could award them. I'm a very happy customer.

This is my first accoustic guitar, after 3 years of playing classical spanish, and its taking a while to get used to playing in a different position. The sound from this guitar is wonderful the feel is different as it is bigger. I am really enjoying playing ans learning a new guitar. If you are thinking of buying a second guitar I would recommend this one.

I was lucky enough to receive this guitar as a gift from my girlfriend, it's a beautiful instrument, very comfortable, it feels and sounds amazing, it oozes quality and was perfectly set up by Richard's Guitars. I firmly believe guitars at this price point should include a gig bag, but that is a manufacturer issue. Highly recommended.

This is the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen or played and it's an absolute joy to play. The quality of the build and components is astonishing, and the attention to detail is something else. There is nothing out of place on this guitar.

The pick-up combination and selector switches offer a huge range of tones. To be honest this is all a bit overwhelming at the moment (2 weeks in) but I've settled on a lovely tone that will do me for now. I'm especially impressed with the single coil cleans. They're clear and ringing but at the same time have a warmth to them.

There are a bunch of reviews on-line about Valiant guitars and they're pretty much all gushing in their praise. They are absolutely right in my view.

My problem now is that I can't un-see what I've seen. This is the new standard. I'm already thinking how I can get enough money together to buy a Valiant Smith. Maybe I should trade all my other guitars!
