My Lâg Sauvage 12-string has exceeded all expectations. It’s absolutely beautiful, with a gorgeous finish, superb build quality and hardware that’s far better than I expected at this price. The sound is wonderfully rich and full, and the playability is outstanding.

The service from Richard’s Guitars has been equally impressive. Excellent communication throughout, a professional setup and personal attention to detail meant the guitar arrived playing perfectly straight out of the case.

Funny how things turn out... multiple problems with the Blaggard order (a number not to do with Richards) and I got close to asking for a refund. However, the humanity of this company shone through and reassured me 100%. I've now just ordered a second Gordon Smith through Richards on the strength of how they dealt with the problems. All businesses have issues to deal with - but it's the challenges that really demonstrate their worth. Definitely shopping with them again (as I've just done this week on receiving the first order) and will do everything I can to support them. There are lots of guitar shops out there but few can match this lot.

I've used Richard and his guitar expertise for years and he never disappoints.

First rate service. Buying at the very bottom end of the market I never felt that I was being fobbed off with any old thing . Richard spent a lot of time with me showing me various guitars , differences, letting me hold each one to find out which type i preferred and I feel I was treated the same as a customer spending at the higher end of the market. All of the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to share that to someone who knew nothing about guitars at all. I could have driven in the opposite direction and gone to a large guitar shop in the city centre and bought a guitar that may or may not have been as nice , but I would not have got the guitar set up free of charge unlike Richard Guitar. But to be honest it wasn’t just the set up, the shop made me feel valued as a customer and it was a pleasure to hand over my money in return for a guitar that will give me pleasure for years to come.

I’ve been buying guitars from Richard since he started trading in Leamington Spa all those years ago! I bought this latest bass after it popped up on offer and I really wanted a short scale bass so it doesn’t affect my guitar playing.

The whole process was great, good communication all the way through the process and delivered on time by a “proper” courier!

The bass is fabulous and plays like dream, after all these years Richard is still selecting top quality instruments and sticking to his principles of quality, service and satisfaction.

Even though guitar was running a little late on delivery… Richard guitars price matched me on one I found cheaper and gave free delivery even though the cheaper guitar I found elsewhere would have charged £20.. true customer service… many thanks!
