Reasonably Priced 12 String.

Well worth the setup by Richards Guitar, removing the worry of buying unplayed. Tends to neck dive because the Head and Neck are solid wood and the body is a very light laminate. The tuners seem fine, a metal nut, pickups ok as is the bridge. The nobs and the switch are the giveaways. You would be hard-pressed to find nobs this cheap (Christmas Cracker Plastic). The switch works but is very light and flimsy. (not difficult mods) though I'm warming to their tacky charm.
Having Tele-sized hands (small) the neck width is ideal for 12 strings. The F-hole makes it quite load acoustically.
All in all, not a bad guitar. Now very tempted for a six-string Danelectro but definitely only via Richards Guitars (set-up) to guarantee I'd get a half-decent guitar. Black n white tuned to DADGAD (all hail the Page).

Danelectro 12 string

Having seen this guitar on their Facebook page, I then went to Richards shop and could actually play the guitar, there was one set up ready. I instantly realised I had to buy it. The staff were really helpful, I could have stayed all day. There was a room with an amp set up, plus pedals, this was great. Luckily, there was one in stock and I bought it and took it home the same day. I play in an original Sixties band and this guitar is perfect for many of these songs....Mr Tambourine Man...Hotel California. I have now retired my trusted old Eko 12 string guitar after over 49yrs of gigging! Thanks for a great, friendly service.
