Ashdown GZR-POD

Introducing the Ashdown 'Pedal of Doom,' a bass distortion pedal inspired by the iconic Geezer Butler and crafted after 18 months of meticulous development. At its heart lies a powerful active 5-band EQ, giving you full control over your tone. With the ability to shape your drive's pre-EQ, the Pedal of Doom allows you to sculpt two distinct tones, each brimming with unique character and harmonics. Whether you're chasing the sound of 'Hand of Doom' or Geezer’s signature heavy grooves, this pedal gives you the flexibility to summon rich, doom-laden tones at the perfect moment.

Designed and engineered in Essex, the Pedal of Doom comes equipped with an onboard transformer-isolated DI output, two switchable EQs, and dual VU meters for precise signal monitoring. It ensures your bass signal stays perfectly balanced, eliminating unwanted gain jumps while delivering consistent, powerful tones. With the ability to dial in everything from subtle distortion to a massive wall of sound, this pedal is the ultimate tool for bassists seeking Geezer Butler's iconic 'sound of doom.' Approved by the legend himself, it's the best-sounding and engineered pedal he has ever played.
