I previously bought a Fender Acoustasonic but could never get along with it, so I booked a day off (having sold it) to get a replacement. I was given free rein to mess about endlessly with about 20 guitars in the price range I had (up to a bit over £1,000).
I chose this one, not knowing that it was slightly under-budget. It plays very nicely and has a great mellow tone. Other guitars (some more than twice the price) were maybe a bit more refined, but I particularly wanted one with a natural sounding ‘plugged-in’ sound, plus I don’t like anything to bright, and this was a clear winner.
I’ve since played it through a large PA and it was amazing. People who have heard me play before commented how good it sounded. I do like that it’s planet-friendly, but wasn’t too worried about that.
The fret ends weren’t great, but the tech at Richards’ Guitars sorted that out for me at zero cost.
Absolutely delighted with this.
