My first ever Godin ACS KOA!  WOW!!!  The Godin ACS is a stunning guitar even without the KOA top but this is just a work of art!   Thank you so much to Godin for making my work so enjoyable.

"Richards Choice" Selected Guitars

With my new website set to launch officially in January 2013 I am busy between customers adding product data to ensure the site has a sense of the feel I want it to continue developing through its lifetime.

My hope is to bring together all the very personal insights and experience over the past 18 years, backed up by my live help (which I have provided consistently now for at least 10 years) via the most complete, accurate, informative and intuitive website for the brands I specialise in.    Its a challenge but I know I can do it!

My reputation is built not only on the playability of the guitars I supply but my personal recommendations and history with the guitars I specialise in.  Over time I will be constantly updating guitars with "Richards Choice" tags so I thought I should let you know what this means exactly...

"Richards Choice" means that I have a comprehensive working knowledge and experience with this instrument.  It is a guitar that I believe of all the guitars in the range I can personally vouch for its immense value.  This does NOT mean other guitars in the range are poor or "not as good" and it doesn't mean that the guitar is "bound" to be the perfect choice for you personally - this can only be deduced through a proper consultation (chat!) maybe by live chat, phone, in store or email but at least it gives you confidence and an understanding of the instruments that have wowed me over the years - its simply another pointer to help me, help you.

Of course this will all take me time but over the period of 2013 this "Richards Choice" selection should give you a superb picture of some wonderful guitars which I consider the best of the best!

Keep your eye out then for "Richards Choice"

Bye for now!

New website address ... rguitars.co.uk

Well its less letters to remember right?!!

For those of you who remember my Regent Guitars days I am bringing my old logo back to life which I have a designer helping me with right now (The "R").  I was always immensly proud of the R logo which was my symbol of quality.  Well I thought it was fitting with my new years focus to bring this back to life and with it "rguitars.co.uk" - less letters and to me very relevant.

As you may know I also own guitars.co.uk which is my forum and classifieds.  This kind of brings these 2 closer together with just the R seperating them so thats quite nice and tidy I think.

richardsguitars.co.uk will continue of course, the old site will continue for some time to come until I am 100% happy with the new site (here).  At some point when I am happy I would intend to redirect all richardsguitars.co.uk traffic to this one but that will be some way away yet.

Hope you like the new domain name rguitars.co.uk

Shop Makeover in December

well, I have ordered the wood floor, a couple of sets of lights and getting the paint on Sunday and fingers crossed next Sunday/Monday I may have a nice new look for my acoustic area.  If I am happy with the theme I will do my best to get the whole showroom looking a little more classy.

My main aim is for the showroom to look inviting, clean, classy and calming with an air of quality!

2013 is about cementing my position as a totally bespoke, professional consultant in guitars.  if you want mainstream high street BS you are in the wrong place.

I really hope you all like the developments I am putting place both in store and online.....fingers crossed.
