The American Performer Stratocaster HSS offers the authentic tones and feel of a USA-made fender, and features modern specs that inspire performance, including a DoubleTap humbucker.

This model features a Yosemite single-coil pickup with rich, expressive tones and a Double Tap humbucker, specially developed for the American Performer series. The patent-pending pickup design prevents volume loss in single-coil mode, and the combination of both pickups produces a dynamic sound.

The Yosemite pickup is a staggered pole piece with no chamfer that achieves high output, and the pickup is potted with shellac solution to effectively suppress feedback.
The American Performer Stratocaster HSS is equipped with a Greasebucket tone circuit that prevents muddy sound by attenuating an appropriate amount of low frequencies when the tone is squeezed, and a push / pull control that enables DoubleTap humbuckers.

The Modern C shape neck of the 9.5 inch radius fingerboard is equipped with 22 jumbo frets for smooth and accurate bending.
