Dowina Dub (Slovak Oak) BV Parlour Left handed (Used)

A personal favourite of mine (Jon speaking here!) this is an absolutely exceptional example of one of Dowina's most interesting parlour guitars.

This particular example has a cedar top with a beautiful Oak back and sides from a source local to Dowina. A long time ago, Oak was quite a common and popular back and sides wood on smaller body guitars and classical guitars so it gives this traditional style parlour an even more vintage and old-school sound. 
It was built for a customer of ours fairly recently but he found that he was moving towards only playing electric guitars so this and one of his other acoustic guitars went towards a new electric for him. This means it's in fantastic condition and shows very little sign of wear.

The cedar on top gives you the bulk of your tone and this will be mellow and smooth so helps balance out the bright and top-heavy edge that Dowina's parlours can have.
Oak as a back and sides wood is (as Erika described to me) like maple but with more resonance and sustain, so this brings a bit more clarity in the trebles without it being overpowering and without being too snappy and short. Pairing that with cedar just gives an amazingly well balanced parlour guitar with a lot of small body charm.

Comes with a Dowina hardcase and will have our usual setup and 6/12 month resets!
