Unique voicing process

The premium nature of the Vintage 1 SM is underscored by the fact that the soundboard is individually tuned using the voicing process, which enhances the instrument’s tonal properties to the highest level. Thanks to that, the Vintage 1 SM has a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced, and highly dynamic sound across the entire tonal spectrum.

Special hand-brushed finish

The instrument is protected by Full-Pore Vintage Hand-Brushed Finish, a special finish that provides excellent surface protection and accentuates the structure of the wood at the same time. Final hand buffing leaves the guitar with an attractive patina that is reminiscent of aged musical instruments.

Furch CNR System^® Neck Design

A high precision, dual-action truss rod maintains neck stability and allows for fine adjustment of the neck relief, bilaterally. The truss rod is housed in a highly rigid carbon casing which enables a very smooth and controlled neck relief, ensuring the best playability and enduring optimal setup.

Stylish appointments

The traditional look of the Vintage 1 SM is underscored by faux tortoise pickguard, double ring rosette with black walnut inlay and body binding made from faux ivory.

Excellent machine heads

The Vintage 1 SM has an excellent tuning stability courtesy of Gotoh SE700 Nickel Patina machine heads with a 1:15 gear ratio.

Pearl position markers

The fretboard features white pearl side position markers and fingerboard inlays that improve fingerboard orientation and enhance the guitar’s exclusive appearance.

High-rigidity Hiscox case

Maximum protection during transport is provided by a high-rigidity Hiscox case with polyurethane insulating foam that shields the instrument from changes in external climatic conditions.

Fantastic guitar, great customer experience.

I traveled down from Newcastle in December 2025 to try out a range of OM guitars. Jon was a fantastic host who provided a good selection of guitars for me to try, and was always on hand to help out with with advice or information about the various guitars I was looking at.

I had been a long time follower of the Richards guitars YouTube channel and so was confident I would get a good experience and would have a good selection of guitars to choose from. I was definitely not disappointed.

I had arrived intending to get the Furch Vintage 3 but in the end preferred the Vintage 2. It is a fantastic guitar, comfortably the nicest OM that I've ever played. I would strongly recommend visiting the store to to try out your guitar before purchasing, just because it's such a great experience. Second acoustic and another great buying experience

This was my second buying experience from Richards Guitars,love the selection and quality from makers such as Dowina,Furch and Auden.The quality for the price you pay is a lot higher in my opinion.My first choice was a Dowina Acero which still makes me smile every time I play it.This time I chose a Furch OM Vintage 2 which compliments it beautifully.The quality of these two guitars is amazing.The buying experience from beginning was great again, dealing with Jon etc. Played so many amazing guitars but the Furch grabbed me this time.The guitar was set up nicely and I received within a week this time.Thank you again guys...
