Gordon Smith Fly 3 Mini Amp With Delay & Bluetooth By Blackstar

I love this gorgeous guitar. And Richards Guitars have many great guitars in the showroom. I tried others but couldn’t beat the Gatsby. It was perfectly set up before my arrival to give it a road test. I was given plenty of time to try it and Jon was really helpful in keeping it aside for me.

I emailed Richard’s guitars and got a reply from Jon. I got booked in for a 3 hour session.
Upon arrival I was shown to a private area which contained many guitars that fitted my requirements which I had discussed with Jon via email.
I was provided with an amp and everything I needed including a cup of tea.
I had however taken my own amp and headphones, I wanted to replicate playing at home.
There was no hard sell, no unwanted interruptions, I had 3 hours to play what I wanted on whatever I wanted.
The range of guitars wasn’t huge, but it was teaming with quality, Gordon Smith, Eastman, valiant to name a few.
Very pleased not to see a sea of fender and Gibson as the only choices.
I was looking for a Gordon Smith and I was not disappointed. However, if it wasn’t happy with the Gordon Smith guitars on offer, Jon would sit down with me and discuss the custom build options.
This was a fantastic experience being able to play guitars uninterrupted and without a pressure sell at the end was so refreshing.
The overall experience was very positive.
There are some areas that could be improved upon, for example, making it clear on the website that the best experience is to contact them and get booked in. Just turning up unannounced could prove disappointing.
Also, keeping the website up to date with what’s in stock and what isn’t.
There was a guitar available on the website which I would have liked to have played but it wasn’t actually in stock, and the opposite was true there was a guitar out of stock on the website which I got to play and was actually awesome (but a little heavy for me)

With that said, if your serious about guitars and you are looking for something a little different then I highly recommend Richard’s guitars, I’ve spent 47 years going in and out of guitar shops, I’ve owned dozens of guitars but this was the best, most relaxed and enjoyable experience I have had.
Thank you.

Beautiful guitar and it was Set Up to perfection by Richard’s Guitars

There are many positives I take away from the process, including:
1. The staff are helpful, positive and knowledgeable
2. It was a great being able to play some of the guitars in the show room.
3. Generally got a swift and helpful response after completing the ordering process.
4. The guitar plays well and looks great.
5. The company employs an effective set up and test process at no extra cost.

BUT

The time from order date to set up took over 32 weeks.

Having bought a Gordon Smith from Richard’s Guitars last year I returned to buy an Auden “Julia” last moth. The guys are great to deal with and, knowing I had said I would try a Stratocaster style GS, John had a couple for me to try. I liked the weight and neck of the one I bought. They are great to deal with and can take feedback and end up finding the particular guitar which is right for you. That’s it, no more guitars (honest)!

Really nice guitar built to exactly spec I asked for , progress update was brilliant thanks to all the team really pleased

I'm extremely delighted with my new Classic T .
The build quality is first rate
The guitar plays and sounds amazing,
with plenty of clarity and sustain.
I would recommend this instrument to anyone looking for a medium priced "T" body guitar
most excellent guitar from the premier UK brand.

Rick worcester

All credit to the team at Gordon Smith for their outstanding work and to RG for supporting and promoting an excellent UK builder. I feel like I've got genuine custom shop quality for a half the price. I'll go further, this guitar is the sweetest sounding electric I've ever had. Simply get one.

Great little amp don't take up any room, does what it says on the box.

The Guitar and service received were just Awesome

Brilliant little amp, Just as demonstrated in Richards YouTube videos. It’s compact well designed and well built, and as a new guitar player it’s great fun to use.

This is a very useful, portable amp, which has a suprisingly good tone.It doesn`t come with a power cable, but batteries are supplied.Great for noodling at home or for small group practice/performance.Very good service from Richard`s Guitars.

This is a little marvel. A perfect practice amp that punches way above its weight. Now that I’ve set it to my preferred sound for the blues it’s a gem. Especially for the price.

This is a very capable amplifier for practice very good tones recommended

very nice guitar plays like a dream gordon smith quality is second to none and richards service is excellent very good set up thanks very happy

The guitar is just superb, the feel and tone, as good as any Fender Custom Shop I have owned or played.
The service from Richard and staff was wonderful, helpful, with excellent communication, making the purchase experience smooth, with delivery on time, all round would totally recommend.
