Auden JM Black Series - Austin Spruce Full Body

I can’t fault the guitar. I’ve been looking For this sound for years. It’s very unique but so clear and warm. It’s really hard to put my finger of an accurate description of the tone, it’s like tearing gold paper… stunning.

I really can’t soak high enough of the service from the team at Richards, helped guide me to this very guitar after I came to buy something else, a the setup is just sublime. So much so, I’ve just bought another Neo, the Emily rose, can’t wait to that one!

Absolutely beautiful guitar with fantastic tone - and perfectly set up with a consistent action that is easily playable all the way up the neck.

If you are looking for a great guitar from people who really know what they are doing, then do go and have a look at their showroom. You'll find an extensive selection of both acoustic and electrics, often from smaller manufacturers but easily a match for any Taylor or Martin.

I recently took my son's Furch back to Richards Guitars, for its complimentary 12 month check & reset. It was worth the trip from Cardiff for the chance to try out some more of their wonderful guitars. I found this Artist Rosewood Series Emily Rose to have a surprisingly deep and composed voice for its small size, probably due to its body being a little bit deeper than the average parlour style guitar. As an older beginner I have been learning on an OM with a 43mm nut but was delighted to find how comfortable this Auden's 45mm nut felt even in my small hands. Thinking also that its 12th fret shorter neck and scale length will be kinder to my aging fingers I decided that I had to have this perfect couch guitar!

I've had this guitar for a few weeks now and I'm more than happy with it. I love the understated looks and the quality of the finish.
It has great playability (helped no doubt by setup) which has inspired me to relearn some old guitar pieces.

I obtained all but one of my guitars from Richard's Guitars, and this one is, I think, the most exquisite so far! I came to look at an Auden Chester Neo, but tried the Artist series too, and was utterly sold.

My experience of the sale was as I would expect from Richard's Guitars -- I tell them what I am looking for, an appointment is made, a selection of guitars meeting my criteria are made available, I am given space and time to try them, but advice is never far away if needed. After purchase, the aftercare in the form of setup is excellent!

There is a reason why I come back here!

My 3rd guitar bought from Richards Guitars,this Auden is the best twwlve string I've ever played. I opted to bring this one home without having the adjustments made in shop this time. Just a tweak of the truss rod and it now plays amazingly for a twelve string...more like a six string.Great quality build from Auden and wonderful sound.Very happy with the guitar and the showroom experience at Richards great as always.

I was looking for a parlour guitar and after detailed discussions with Jake and Jon I chose the Auden Emily Rose Parlour with a cedar top.

Had my eye on an Auden for a while and I'd been looking at Richard's site. Made an appointment and had a couple hours trying a collection of them at my price point. You know when you find the one because no matter how many guitars you try you just keep coming back to the same one. Great service from the guys in the store and one happy customer.

Sound-wise, I don't find it that exceptional.
The quality is undeniable, but for five times less (I paid over €2,500 because of Boris Johnson), you can get the ABT60e (Alvarez) or the BT-240e (Guild), which do a very good job.

Have bought before from here online which was great. This time visited the shop. Jake was so welcoming, helpful and friendly. The guitar was set up beautifully before collection and dealing with the company is a joy. They really do care about their customers. Cannot recommend strongly enough. I love the guitar but they have many lovely guitars. This review is about the service which could not be better. I would very much recommend Auden guitars as well though.

Am more than happy with the guitar ,was a great experience buying and delivery was as they described. They have even said they will send me a guitar strap when they get the one i wanted delivered. Would recommend.

The Auden Emily Rose Maple & Spruce is a beautiful guitar, that much is obvious from the pictures alone. I'm pleased to say, the playability and tone are every bit as satisfying. Great build quality and fantastic materials and at this price. Exceptional. It is also the first acoustic guitar I've bought that I haven't needed to set-up myself. Also great service from Richard's Guitars, so impressed I've just pushed the button on my second guitar from them!

I came to Richards Guitars to try another brand 00 guitar, and the guys there suggested that I should try the Auden Emily Rose, too as it offered more depth of tone, which was what in my experience of parlour guitars I'd found to not be to my taste.

I immediately knew that the other brand guitar wasn't for me, and frankly I wasn't expecting much different with the Emily Rose. I was expecting to be disappointed, but in a few short seconds I was blown away, astounded at the clarity of tone, and the power of this little instrument that belies its size.

All of my guitars have pickups as I gig with them, but the parlour was to be my 'home therapy' instrument, so I wasn't put off that the other brand didn't have a pickup - a parlour guitar wasn't going to produce the sound I like for my music. So when I learned that this Auden came with the Brad Clark Supernatural pickup, I didn't give it much consideration - until I played it for the first time, and then I really wanted to share it with my audiences. Well, the Supernatural pickup is a game changer; no more worries about the venue sound tech turning your guitar down when you play a strummed number, then forgetting to turn you back up for the next fingerstyle song - with just a few button presses, you can switch between strum and fingerstyle modes - and there's a body resonance element that really does reproduce the acoustic tone of the guitar. I can't wait to use this guitar live and see my audiences' reactions. I play my Emily Rose every day, and have already written a couple of songs with it; it's got that 'pickup me up and play me' factor.

I must give a HUGE shout to Jon and Jake at Richards Guitars for their knowledge of their instruments, their brilliant guitar technician, Chris, and to Richard himself for introducing us to guitars we might never have discovered.

I only visited the website to see whether Auden made a wide fingerboard model. I went on to their chat line and Jon told me that they had one in stock and didn't know when they'd get any more. I drove over that afternoon, tried it out, liked it a lot and bought it. I collected it a week later after it had been set up to suit me and the setup is superb.
This instrument has amazing build quality, a great pickup system, wonderful sound, and incredible value. Richards Guitars is a pleasure to deal with.

Not put it down since receiving it well packaged and great set up the guy lost his patients a little while sorting a delivery date but no complaints about the products
