Great Service and Great Setup

Guitar arrived in perfect condition. I was sceptical re the free setup but I was very wrong. Plays very well and I certainly won’t be making any adjustment ( which is unusual for me)
A big thank you to all at Richard Guitars.

Cort Core-PE Mahogany - Really impressed!

I spent a good while researching and trying parlour guitars before settling on the Cort Core-PE. Many that I tried just felt or sounded a little too small, boxy, even toy-like. I couldn’t find a Core-PE to try in person but the reviews and videos I saw promised a real instrument, so I decided to take a punt and that’s exactly what this is.

I’d previously bought (a Faith Blood Moon Neptune) from Richard’s Guitars and was hugely impressed by the experience and the guitar, so I emailed the shop even though the Core-PE was not in stock. Jake was amazing. Sourcing the guitar, pricing it really competitively, and helping me throughout the process.

I’ve only had the Core-PE for a week, but I’m already impressed. It’s a parlour so it’s not the loudest, but it has that characteristic small body range I was looking for and the all-solid-wood construction really makes a difference. The tone is already beautiful and will doubtless get better and better with age. It’s small but not tiny, and it feels ultra-comfortable to sit with. The set-up is perfect and the 45mm nut width makes it a delight to play. It also has so much character. The open-pore finish means you can really feel (and smell!) the wood, and the open-gear brass tuners add a huge dose of vintage aesthetic. The case is another bonus, half-way between hard case and gig-bag it’s going to make taking the guitar anywhere a worry-free breeze.

If you’re looking for an affordable parlour, then I’d really recommend this one. If you’re looking for somewhere to buy it, then you won’t do better than Richard’s.
